Summary

We have so many requests from homeschooling families who would like to have the same immersive, educational experiences we offer to schools. Here you go! Join us for 3 days and 2 nights of the Pine Mountain Settlement School Experience! This event is limited to 20 families and children ages 8 years and older. Parents remain on campus with students for the duration of the event.

Description

Registration includes meals, lodging, and 12 hours of programming for 1 adult and 1 child. Additional children or parents are welcome at a reduced rate of $75/child. Programming includes the following:

Tuesday - November 18th

12:00 PM- Arrival/Move into Dorm

12:30 PM- Lunch, Laurel House

1:30 PM - Orientation

2:00 PM - Habit-Treking Hike

3:30 PM - Natural Dyes

5:00 PM - Free Time

6:00 PM - Dinner, Laurel House

7:00 PM - Folk Dance/Play Party Games

Wednesday, November 19th

8:00 AM - Breakfast, Laurel House

9:00 AM - Cornshuck Crafts

10:30 AM - Stream Ecology

12:00 PM - Lunch, Laurel House

1:00 PM - Wintergreen Hike

3:00 PM - Applachian Foodways

5:00 PM - Free Time with Family

6:00 PM - Dinner, Laurel House

7:00 PM - Appalachian Music

9:00 AM - Tie-Dye Pine Mountain Bandanna
